Spike Ultra Matte Lipstick

Pretty

It’s a super pretty gold sparkly lipstick. Didn’t really suit me, but it’s so pretty that I keep trying to wear it!

The formula is lovely, but this color is not flattering on my fair, cool toned skin. You can feel the glitter a bit in this shimmer shade. This would be a lovely summery, shimmery color on someone with a deeper complexion.

Luxurious

Love this packaging of this product, it feels so luxurious! The application was smooth, love it to add shimmer or add a gloss on top to make it complete. Texture goes on smooth and pigmentation was subtle

Gorgeous packaging

Gorgeous high end packaging but kind of weird product. The shimmer is kind of gritty and feels a little drying. Definitely needs to be layered over another lip product to make it look nice otherwise it just looks like your lips are chapped.

Buttery

Love the Spike Valentino Buttery Matte Lip. The color was a pop but neutral. It covered nicely and applied smooth. Obsessed with the packaging and no weird scent.

Pretty sparkle

The packaging is fancy. It doesn’t really have a scent. The texture is smooth but not as creamy because it does have glitter. the pigmentation is good you can see the glitter sparkle. I do wish it was a little more moisturizing, I wouldn’t wear this without any lip balm first. I think it’s a good lip topper.

From the heavy packing which equals to good quality and the formula, this product is amazing. The lipstick can be layered on top of another nude lipstick to give it a bit more shine to your look. Plus this is perfect for the holiday season. The shimmer is not too thick, it’s perfect!

Great topper for the other colors for Holidays!

I own 5 of these. The matte formula is beautiful and comfortable. Love adding the gold, shimmery one on top of the others to change them up for the season! What a great idea, Valentino! Try these, they don't disappoint.

Love this shimmer

I absolutely love the packaging on this lip color. It’s beautiful and I love that it’s magnetic. There’s not really a scent which is fine with me and the color is gorgeous. It makes your lips super glittery and pretty. It lasted for a decent amount of time too.

lips like juicy gold

What an amazing shade! I love the sparkle and shine this lippie leaves behind. It looks incredible either alone or paired up with your favorite nude. It feels very luxurious and I love how sleek it is to carry around. It is moisturizing and lasts for a good while. Definitely recommend. I received this lipstick complimentary of Influenster.

Gorgeous product/packaging, but PERFUMED.

The packaging is GORGEOUS. I love the weight and feel of the outer metal casing. I also noticed that there's a logo embossed into inside of the cap, which is such a small detail that definitely highlights how much thought went into the package. I also didn't realize that this is refillable lipstick! I only noticed because the bullet was a little loose, and it pulled out of the bottom when I went to fix it. I looked on Valentino's website to confirm, and was pleasantly surprised! The more permanent colors in this line are stunning, and I love that I could swap out the bullet as needed. I think this could be used as a shimmery topper for other lipsticks, but it definitely has a satin matte feel and look so I wouldn't recommend OVER a gloss. But it can be a very sheer and subtule or built up to be a bold gloss. The texture is a little gritty from the glitter, but once the product warms up a bit it's much less noticable and feels like a matte balm almost. It's not super drying. The wear time is pretty standard for any bullet lipstick. The main issue for me is the fragrance - I want to love how luxe this product feels and the movement towards a refillable product, but I can't get over how perfumed it is. It's a lovely fresh, floral Valentino scent but it's fairly powerful and lasts a while.
