Strong alcohol smell and patchy coverage

The product definitely contains alcohol because there was a strong smell of alcohol when I applied it, even after mixing well. It dries down to a sheer coverage, but looked quite patchy and uneven on my skin. I'm underwhelmed. The alcohol content also makes me concerned about possible harm to the skin.

fantastic foundation

I am on my third or fourth bottle.. it's so nice and light and lets your skin breathe. I wear a 5 in the winter and 5.5 in the summer. I just can't say enough great things about this foundation.

Blew me away

I got this during their sale simply because the deal was so good. I felt some trepidation since it was online and didn't know my shade, but I read the reviews, and by the time I finally decided to purchase, only colour 3 was left, which was fine. I LOVE this foundation! I can't believe how skin-like and smoothly pigmented it is!! I have dry combo skin, and this is neither drying not oily, and soo lightweight and buildably pigmented. I'm a luxury foundation junkie always in search of the perfect foundation, and this definitely ranks up as one of my favs!

Overall, a confusing and overpriced product

I hate to be the one, but I really did not like this product--despite all the positive reviews. I got it on sale, which means it was the same price as most other foundations at regular price. Here it is: I have very clear skin with small pores, while it's starting to mature I do really care for and moisturize my skin, and I prefer luminous to natural foundations. In this I was hoping for just that--a sheer luminous glow (they say it leaves your skin glowing, yet it's a matte?!), but found it made skin that was hydrated appear dry. It is described as having "low-surface tension for fast and easy application", which I agree with that, but I had to use so much for any type of coverage, which at that price is abysmal. I would liken the Maestro's weight to Kosas Oil Foundation, which I use frequently by adding a couple drops to other foundations, blending the two to achieve an even more luminous base, or alone in the summer when I just want a very low coverage glow. I wish I had found anything redeeming in this product, but even the smell was off-putting. Overall I'm just confused by this foundation and I used it for three days, applying with fingers, sponge and a brush to see the results. I had to return.

Best Foundation Ever

I have dry, pale skin and have been using this since it was recommended to me by a beauty consultant at beauty counter about 6 years ago.

This foundation is actual perfection. I have dry skin naturally, but it is amplified during the winter months. This foundation gives me great hydration as well as light and luminous coverage. It also wears very beautifully throughout the day, it doesn’t settle into fine lines at all. I will continue to use this throughout winter, but I feel it will also wear nicely throughout the year. I will definitely repurchase.

Great Light Coverage Foundation (one drawback)

I have first purchased this on a whim, without researching first and was so pleasantly surprised by how good it is. It applies so easily and quickly (just dab on your face and use your fingers like a moisturizer, as recommended in the leaflet inside). It feels like you have nothing on your skin, so lightweight! Having medium skin tone and neutral undertone, I always struggle with medium shades being too yellow or peachy. Armani has such a good range for this medium/neutral combination. Only drawback for me is that there is alcohol very high on the ingredients list and it can be smelled. It helps the quick setting, which I love, but it does dry down my skin if I use this foundation for a prolonged period. Still, I plan to continue to use it, only in rotation with some other foundations.

Best foundation in the market.

Best light coverage foundation I have ever used in my life. Would bathe in this if I could. Application with a damp sponge is flawless, does not crease and does not add texture to the skin. Dries quickly and leaves a powder-like matte finish that looks like there is no makeup. If applied over primer and set with a good translucent powder, stays on all day without looking cakey or oily. I tried so many other foundations and was very impressed by this. This product will remain as my #1 favourite of all time. I will not use another foundation ever again! (I wish it was still Spf 15 like the older versions but formula is still amazing.)

Lovely product.

I was hestitant to spend so much on a foundation but I am loving this one. The coverage is light but it goes on so smoothly and doesn't settle in wrinkles.
