I’ve tried other hair oils (like the Ouai one recently) and this one has been the best by far. Super lightweight, doesn’t leave your hair looking greasy and prevent damage.

Great for color gray hair

As a beauty and skincare expert, I’m always searching for products that help maintain the health and vibrancy of color-treated hair. Since my hair is naturally gray, I have to lighten it to blend everything seamlessly—but that process can leave my strands feeling dry and dull. After trying No7 Bonding Hair Oil, I was impressed with how lightweight it is. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, yet it adds noticeable softness and shine. I found that the best way to use it is by applying a small amount to partially air-dried hair before blow-drying or flat ironing. This helps smooth the hair and enhance its overall finish. If I wear my hair straight, I like to add just a touch at the end to keep flyaways under control. The light citrus scent is a nice bonus—it’s fresh without being overpowering. My only complaint is the packaging. The bottle design requires you to shake the product out, which feels awkward since the cap looks like it should be on a squeezable bottle. A pump would make the application much easier. That small issue aside, this oil has become a staple in my routine. It leaves my hair looking healthier and more polished, making it a great option for anyone with color-treated or gray hair in need of extra moisture and shine.

I’ve been using this on and off for a few years. I can’t say it’s either good or bad but I’m not sure if I like it. I have natural hair that’s not very damaged so this can make my hair feel more dry. Although, you’ll have to try it out for yourself. It’s a hit or miss.

Improves dry damaged hair

I think olaplex makes great hair products. My long thick hair needs a styling oil that protects and nourishes it and keeps it from being too dry. Olaplex oil fits that bill for me. It's not thick and heavy, it's a nice light consistency, and has a great light fragrance. You don't need a ton of product to cover all of your hair and I use it whether my hair is wet right from the shower or dry. I even use it in the days after washing to give it some added shine and moisture. The container may look small but there is more than enough to last for quite awhile. I think this is one of the better hair oils out there and I'm a big fan. I received this product as part of a promotion.

A Staple in My Haircare Routine!

I would argue this is the best product Olaplex makes. My bleached hair is noticeably healthier since starting with this product. I notice my frizz is gone, my ends feel healthy, and it adds an overall shine to my hair. I use before blow drying as a heat protectant or to oil my hair between washes.

Must have hair oil

Curly hair girls have their blessings and woes. I love the curls, the personality it gives me. The hair frizz however, is a serious problem. I can NOT look put together without styling my hair. See for yourself. Hair oil is a regular hair routine in my getting ready. For this look, there’s only 2 things that went in; Olaplex hair oil and Panasonic tool. 7 mins. I used 3 coins; the amount of Olaplex oil, to smooth over the surface of those frizz and on the ends of my hair. It’s quite a surprise as the oil is much less viscous than I expected. It doesn’t weight my hair down i.e. I don’t like the flaccid hair look. It looks great immediately after application where I get the elegant sleek look while keeping my curls. It holds really well throughout the day. My hair did get more flaccid as the day goes thou. This tells me that a small amount goes a long way. I will be using less next time. Did I mention that I love the packaging! It’s so secure and compact! My other hair oil spilled in my travel pouch last time and it was a pain cleaning up my other cosmetics and skin care. Love Olaplex to tame my frizz, protect from heat, and give me my beautiful mane.

Grecian Goddess Vibes

I’ve never felt as much like a goddess. I use about 4 drops for my to-my-butt long hair and it’s completely tame.

Yes and no

Honestly, I have really complicated relationships it Olaplex products. And I was afraid that this time it would be the same. But it’s more yes, than no. I like the consistency, and it spreads so well. I need only a little drop for hair lower than scapula. Fist time I applied it on wet hair and was happy with the result. The volume was so good, and lasted for a whole day. And then I tried to apply it on dry hair, as it was mentioned in “how to use” instructions, by the way. And that time I was completely disappointed and dissatisfied. My freshly clean hair became so grizzly, no volume at all. I washed them immediately after that, as I had an already-scheduled appointment. Of course. Now I use it only on wet hair. And I think it’s more about my hair,because with others it works great.

Reaction to the Oil

I used this product one time after using the shampoo and conditioner. My hair immediately starting falling out. It continued for one month until I cut it all to 1/2 inch in length. Traumatic! I had been using Olaplex for over a year but will never use it again. This oil caused my hair loss. I had to give one star to even get this posted---would give minus stars if I could.

Really like this oil

I use this as a detangler on damp hair. I love it! This is a light oil that really smooths and protects. It doesn't leave my hair (fine, wavy) greasy. You don't need much so the bottle lasts a long time.

Honestly, I just use it for frizz reduction, and it works, it’s also light weight

Excellent heat protection for 4c hair

Works wonders as heat protectant on my 4c hair and leaves my locs looking and feeling soft with some shine. A little goes a long way and I love the soft scent of lemon that it has. I appreciate the dispenser so not to overuse.
